Default Looking for books or other references

Hi All I haven't been here for a while, too much stuff on my 'to do' list recently...

I'm starting work on my master's thesis I'd like to ask you guys for any tips and advices regarding references, because I have problems finding enything. If you know any books etc. regarding the following topics, please let me know.

    - Blue LED's - manufacture process, principle of operation, etc
    - Growth of GaN on sapphire substrates (for LEDs)
    - MOCVD process
    - scribing and dicing of sapphire wafers
    - generating UV laser beam by THG - freq. trippled DPSS Nd:YAG lasers
    - materials machining with use of pulsed lasers, laser ablation process

The topic of the thesis is related to use of UV laser for scribing sapphire wafers in blue LEDs manufacture process.

    Thanks for any ideas!

Read that a while back, it's a good read and covers nearly all the things you wanted to know about.

Yea, I know the book (thanks for the link), haven't read it though. I'll have to look for it in libraries around. Does it say anything about wafer dicing process, preferabely laser dicing?

So far, I've found some interesting papers at SPIE Digital Library, but no books besides the one you mentioned :/

I have it sat on my desk... can't find anything too explicit about dicing.
Is there anything else you are explicitly hunting it for?

    Still a *very* good book

Well, the thesis is related strictly to dicing itself, but I'm looking for any information regarding LED manufacture process, particularly GaN LEDs. Anything regarding laser processing of hard materials (sapphire) would be usefull too.

Anybody here has the Nakamura's book and would like to get rid of it? I would definitely buy it for a resonable price (shipping to california).

BTW I've found some interesting and useful papers at SPIE Digital Library. Those are the best resources I've found so far - exactly what I'm looking for:
