Another small update: I did some tests last week and i some parts to do the final test to get a smaller beam at aperture. I have build a prototype of 4 watt and with the new parts i can get the beam to 3.5 x 3.5 mm at aperture with a low divergence. I will give post some beamshots next week and a powermeter reading. The prototype is doing 4 watt with reasonable beamspecs but i want to have it a little bit better.

    This is so damm nice.
    4 watts of blue *glomp*

    One question though.
On the first picture i see a line going to the side.
is this the camera freaking out because of the beams awsomeness power?

I would suggest its a wastebeam off the prisms... =)
    A really nice module this!

michelrietveld and magnus has the single blue in their projectors. The projector from Michel is perfectly ballanced . Very thight beams and very low divergence. I,m really impressed with his result. That,s why i know that i,m on the right track.

Even if my 4 watt will be 4mm at aperture with low divergence that,s fine.Of course i will try to get it down to 3.5 like RGB lasersystems.

Tonight i will test how many peltiers are needed to keep the 4 watt at 23 degrees. 23 is my personal choice

1 watt or 4 watt? I can build 2 single blue,s and then i,m not building them anymore.

I,m planning to build 8 pieces when i,m satisfied with the beam at aperture and divergence. I will give an update at the end of next week. The rest of the parts i will use for building 9 setups for combining reds

(I know they should display smoothly because I've just had some of the latest ones on Jems Cambridge scanners, where they were fine. Maybe something for Michael to look at)
