Default 'guts' of a cheap Chinese stage laser projector (RG)

    Hi guys (and girls)

I wondered how the inside of a small el-cheapo laser projector like this

    would look like.
They go around 30 to 35 dollars on fleebay.
I already searched PL, LPF, LF.. but no hits with pictures of the internal components or 'gut's of these machines.. I am really interested if there should be:

A/ something to harvest (some have TTL blanking I read)
B/ room to change some modules
C/ room to add even some modules (a 405 or 445 one)

Thanks for taking the time of reading this and for helping me out!

I mate of mine brought a few back from Thailand recently.

They are rubbish, using 2 steppers for X/Y. One of them is G/R and the dichro is glued in place such that the beams don't line up well at all. I managed to improve alignment by tweaking one of the laser module positions (loosen, move, retight). Both LD are TLL.

The laser modules are small but punchy considering.

There is no room to fit anything else inside. Don't waste your TIME.

I believe that unit has a diffraction grating not X/Y Stepper motors.

The 'starry sky' type projectors have a grating which may be worth salvaging as a scan-through effect.

Aside from that, most of the time these projectors are too small to fit anything sensible into them. You may be able to squeeze a 445 with a galvo set in there, but that's about it.

If you're going for the quantity effect (spreading loads of beams all over the place) they may be useful as a cheap chassis.

i have a Galaxian 3-D laser like the one you are asking about. There is a red (usually 120-180 mw) and a green ( usually 40-80 mw). Depending on if its a "Twinkling" laser" or one that makes shapes.
The "Twinkler" has one color on a rotating axis that is then shot through a hologram splitter. 1 color is usually stationary. Some, both colors move.

    Hope this helps.
