I would have thought the driver boards needed to be bolted to a heatsink?

The driver boards run cold actually. Even the plate hes mounted everything to is overkill.

I'll second Spec on that one... The driver boards don't generate much heat at all. My projector has a cooling fan in it that blows across the boards. It's basically useless though, as the boards are already cool! I left it in though, because it also blows air past the heat sink on the galvo mount. I figure a little cooling there is probably a good thing... (Though admittedly the galvos don't get that hot either!)

    Liteglow!

    VERY NICE SETUP!!!!

That laser looks incredibly bright. Much brighter than my 100 mw unit. I'm envious!

I like the layout of your projector - very clean. It looks like you don't have much room left for the red and green lasers though... Are you planning on moving all the parts to a larger table later on?

One final thought - some of the graphics you posted looked very cool. Want to trade .ilda files? (I've got a small collection at the moment, but I'm still working on getting lots more from a couple sources... Stay tuned!)

Hi there thanx for all posetive reply..

Yes i still have not found a box to mount everything inside !!

My plan is to mount all Lasers togheter on one plan !
And all the amp\power supply on another level (under the lasers )

And yes I have plans to add cooling, but that will happen when i mount it inside a box

About Ild files... ehm... many of them is shareware from a website :

    http://www.laserrent.be/framecenter.asp?offset=72

But i have some other files that I glady Trade
I have a feeling that other ppl around also have ild files to share\trade

So maybe someone got some webspace to share from ?
(we take that on another thread\PM)

From first hand experience, a fan anywhere near a set of scanners is a very bad idea, especially if the air getting drawn in from outside your projector is full of smoke.

Its a great idea to dust seal optics, as it sure as hell beats cleaning them
