To quote my elektromechanics professor:
(clicks on heavy elektromechanic simulation program in Windows and has to wait)
"The thing I like about Apple is that if I want it to do something, it does it immediately."
(Cheers from the fellow Apple fans)
"But then again I like to have at least some functionality."
(Heavy applause from the Windows fans)
True.
The thing I'm complaining about though is that apple is doing awkward more and more often.
They are starting to do the same mistake again with the macbook air.
it is a Piece of poop that fits in a vanilla envelope.
I failed to see the point of it.
Now they are doing the same with apple iphone and ipad.
Nobody really has use of the slightly thinner form of these 2 products.
Just use that additional space for more usefull functions dammit
And make a proper Iphone SDK for windows.
And also stop restricting Developers so damm much.
Same with the paying for publishing things on the appstore.... Despite it being free!!
100 euro's a year? and 30% of your profits...... what a load of bullshit.
Comparable with the android store: No pay per month and only 10% of your profits.
Now thats a fair thing for Developers.
i'm not into religious wars, but i like my ipad quite a lot.
sure there's better/cheaper/shinier/whatever out there, but who cares? this will always be true with technology. buy what works for you and get on with your life. ipad2 looks cool, but my previous generation model does everything i need it to.
there were some excellent demos of ipads and iphones being used to control laser shows at the recent socalem. very inspirational stuff.
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Just about every time I fly, someone next to me has an iPad. I watch them use it and think "that is so cool". Then I think about it some more, I doubt I would use one in a normal day. I am just way to keyboard and application dependent.
This space for rent.
