Default 3w rgb she lives :)

my new build a 3w rgb lives at last
    first started in birth of a 1w 640 and 1w dual 445
but now all but finished and scanning just a shame i lost two of the 642's to the led gods
but still she shines bright banging out ?? i dont know because my power meter only goes to 2.1w but after the uk meet i will replace the two dead diodes with a couple of 637 diodes and should see 3w but for now i am super happy roll on uk lem cant wait
    here's the first test video

    Nice job!

I really need to sort out a >1W 640 module this year I think. Do you know how you killed the 2 diodes? Thats the stuff that scares me...

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

    Thumbs up

    Hi Badger,

    I'm diggin it man!

Are you sure that was your drier making the noise?

It kind of looked like there was an alien abduction in progress

It's a cool eerie effect going down the hallway, it reminded me of the Aliens movie when their craft was scanning the planets surface before landing.

Maybe a cool theme for a a laser show?

Like the flip top lit on your projector.

    Nice work

What blew the diodes well thats a mystry ,they had lasorbs on them too
So i wont be buying anymore of them, i hear a lot of this from pm's of dying diodes that have lasorbs on them, but i suspect they were not the cause just that they dont protect as well as you might think they do.i guess these 640 diodes a just very sensetive,i never lost a loc diode for no reason, next time i will use 637 diodes at least they are isolated cans so no grounding out issues, we live and learn :-)

i sure you will find the time soon dave
the only down side is that i now have nothing to do its was a real challange this build
and i am going to miss that, its going to take untill xmas to save up for another build,
then again i still got six of your mounts ,i might have to mess around with a cheap loc red build to keep me busy , just need to find a few die4drives
but i am planning the next build with 1.2 w of 637 and 2w 660 as the red , so will be banging on your door at some point for more mounts and these super duper lens at some point this year, just need to get some overtime in first
