Here a couple more beam profile pics @ 11m of an 826 diode driven @ 500mA outputting 380mW raw with different lenses:

Aixiz acrylic 268mW 70.53% thru put
    Laser66 red 320mW 84.21% thru put
    405-G-2 340mW 89.47% thru put
Mccarrot blue 345mW 90.79% thru put
    Optima 369mW 97.11% thru put

The best bang for my buck is the optima lens paired with a barrel where the lens can’t wobble due to excessive thread play. Loosely seated threads will enable tilting of the lens causing artifacts around the beam profile. The last picture showing the effects of lens tilt with an Optima lens.

    i am looking for 6 or 7.
what dvd burner did they come from ??
When God said “Let there be light” he surely must have meant perfectly coherent light.

Thanks for sharing, but, do they really ask $3 for each additional diode you buy?
