I'll just ask again. Is there any data to distinguish the 826 from the 815 in terms of wavelength or power?

Was Solarfire's review not enough info?

@laserwinkel - PM incoming for four 826 diodes. Any chance you have any lasorbs?

It would actually be nice to see a basic PIV curve, with non-incremental continuous current increase. And it would be nice to see the current pushed a bit further too

No I don't think so. Solarfire's results do not give mw vs. ma and I can only assume that the output wavelength is the same. I have run 815 diodes for many hours at 420ma and for some hours at as high as 700 ma. The efficiency of these diodes is 0.7 mw/ma and that seems similar to his tests for both the 815 and the 826. I'm not convinced the 826 is in any way different than the 815. Has anyone else looked at these diodes?

I'm not either. They MAY BE, but I don't think the data we have now confirms this. Of course there are some physical differences, but I'm talking about capabilities.

~390mW with no lens (RAW) from an 826 looks cool on that graph. But I'm not sure it would be a stretch to see that from LOC at 600mA, considering I've had no trouble getting ~335 from a few LOCs at that current but through a lens. I'm sure raw, I would have seen an extra 50?

And his figure for 600mA with a red lens was ~350mw. If I've come within 15mW of that with a LOC, I'd say these may have the exact same capabilities.
