I spent my share of time working in nuke plants. The thought of having to go into a reactor compartment with a fire hose always put shivers down my spine. I do not want to be in their shoes or any where near them. Good luck to them and everyone in that area.
I heard it was temporary. I sure hope so. The thought of 6 of these things just running amok is terrible. Not that EVERYTHING happening in Japan is not but...
Something else that I have not heard anything on is another large Hydrogen explosion in unit 4. 4 was supposed to have fuel in the spent pool. So if it built enough hydrogen to blow there must not be much water left in that pool.
But the sat pic sure looks like something violent happened to it. (far left). Ugh! what a mess.
