Default first contact cleaning red or clear

I received a bottle of the clear first contact cleaning solution from stanwax and have been trying it out. I just now realized there was a "red" option which is for the storing of optics. Can the clear version be left on optics for extended periods of time? Are there any differences between the red and clear first contact solution besides the color?

I've no idea about the colours, but I use regular FC to coat optics whilst I'm working with them to protect the surfaces

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

I need to store the optics for about a month. I just want to make sure the solution doesn't permanently attach to the optic or otherwise damage it after an extended period of time.

There is no functional difference between the red and clear versions.

    Hi Laser_freak,

I'm pretty sure there is no difference. The red colour has been added to help you see where the first contact has been applied.

you could buy it directly from them... after shipping and currency conversion the 15ml bottle costs $70 from him, you can get a 15ml bottle and 2x 29ml bottles from first contact for $105 so decide if its worth it

the only reason for the red is to remind you "yo, theres a coating on this optic!"

    Hi Guys
No difference between them appart from the colour either can be used long or short term.
As for US sales its $50 and a couple of cents for clear delivered to the US.
Always in stock for immediate ship.
