Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. The warning sign is a pretty good idea. The logo needs to be embroidery-compatible though.
There was also an idea to have an outline of the city with Hood in the background, possibly with lasers coming out of the top of the two towers of the Convention Center. I like this idea but I'm not sure I could pull it off myself. (credit: Nate)

The venue is confirmed for June 10th-12th.
I imagine we'll load in on Friday the 10th in the later morning and load out on Sunday evening.
I'll get some pictures of the venue next week. They're installing what appears to be a hardwood floor in the loft and there are other projects under way like painting so it appears the Spot will be even nicer by the time our event comes around.

Hey all,
I will make it a point to go get some photos of the venue so we can start thinking up how to arrange everything on the 10th. I'm told all of the tall walls are going to be painted black here soon which should be a good thing for us as they are currently off-white.
Should I look into renting tables and chairs or do you think we can figure this part out ourselves? I have a few tables I could bring, but no chairs really.
Anything else we should try to get squared away? As the T-minus-1-month mark approaches, I'd like to get the plan together to avoid any last minute snafus that have a habit of popping up.
This is looking pretty good though. The last time we did this here, we didn't have half as nice of a venue to work with, so we're off to a good start.

I have ~7 of the tables that I brought to SoCaLEM.
I am not going to bring as much stuff, so I can load them all into the truck.

Yep, been lagging a little here.
How about this. First off, if you think you're going to make it to this, PM me and I'll make up a list of confirmed attendees.
It seems we might get away without renting any tables/chairs if enough people have a few to bring. I've got three tables and a few chairs I could rustle up myself.
I'll make a concerted effort to do an official walkthrough here soon and snap some pics of the venue sans-party-goers to give an idea of what we have to work with.
If nobody else does, I'll try my darnedest to come up with some sort of logo and figure that end of things out by the one-month mark.
