    Default 660 vs. 640....

For the "I want it now" folks... I propose this: Build your quad 660, so that you will have your laser now. Every paycheck or 2, replace one of your 660s with a 640 (provided you are using broadband optics). That way, you still get your laser right now, and as you progress, so does the apparent brightness. This will make it so that you don't drop a ton of money at once, or you won't have to save up for months to get the laser that looks great. Aftyer a few months, viola, there is your quad 640 and you will have 4 660s for spares or another build. Just sayin....
If you're the smartest person in the room, then you're in the wrong room.

Interesting comment that! a genuine naked laser !
I always try to seal the optics area myself but don't often succeed totally!
Are the 826s covered or open can ?

In my experience nudies and humidity often seem to go together... LOL

Also I agree with Solarfire about the loss, which bugger was the culprit the 1/2w or the cube?

    Cheers

    WP.

Actually, that was before fitting the G2 lens also. So Axiz 660 lens, PBS + WP < 900mW. G2 + Knife edge = 1270mW.
    This space for rent.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
