Default An Early Laser Art Show

I just found a catalog from a laser art show held at the Cincinnati Art Museum the last two months of 1969. The artists in the show were John Peterson (8 pieces), Michael J. Campbell (4), Baron Krody (2), Ralph Wuerker & Dale Van Natta (2), Donovan Coppock, R. James Rockwell, Albert Peter, and E. Mack Smith. The work included random scan line effects, beam play with 1mW He-Ne lasers and smoke inside plexiglas boxes, sculpture with laser beams made visible, lumia, holograms, and carvings into plexiglas with a CO2 laser.

I wonder if anyone here saw the show? Do any of these names ring a bell? I've corresponded with pioneering holographer Ralph Wuerker, who I'm going to contact in search of one of the holograms from the show, but the others are unknown to me. The book is large (artists!) so difficult to scan, but I'll do it for anyone interested.

You bet I am interested in a scanned copy! The only other name that I might have seen before is R. James Rockwell, as I seem to think of a guy named Rockwell having something to do with laser safety. Maybe. I'm not near my archives at the moment.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

    Bob,

I'd like a scanned copy as well! I'll be glad to return the favor, as I have some early laser art books as well...

    Thanks,
    Greg

'The' Michael J. Campbell, as in Bob's post?

Wow! - If so i'm sure Bob would be absolutely delighted to get in touch with you.

That would be correct! He is still alive and well and often tells some fun stories about his involvement in this. If anyone would like some information, I can always ask him if he'd like to be bothered. :P
