One of the more interesting cables released by wikileaks IMHO references China's exploration of this technology, commenting that it is highly likely that they'd achieved single particle quantum teleportation in 2009.

Equally mind blowing is that The University of Science and Technology of China employs 37,000 staff and 40,000 graduate students. Looks like a bizarre strategy of focusing on education and research in an attempt to become a technological superpower. Like that'll ever work!
