vinyl carbon sticker

i did this just for fun, as the material was cheap and i always wanted to try this.
in general, i just took the case apart and covered it with this vinyl sticker that is made to look like carbon fiber. not a bad result in my eyes, maybe it is of interest to someone who wants to do a "case-mod". if you hit up "vinyl carbon sticker" on fleabay you'll find lots of items.

it was soft and elastic enough and not hard at all to work with. all you have to do is pay attention that air does not get trapped as you apply the sticker, or else you'll get small bubbles under the sticker. i suspect, though, that it will not stand up to wear and tear very well, as it is too soft, so not ideal for projectors that like too travel to much

If anyone is interested, I have a new vinyl cutter that I can do custom graphics with.
I bought it to do the graphics on my R/C aircraft, but it can cut almost anything.
