Tornadoes in NC

To everyone...
Im sorry I havent been able to be on here much.. due to everything thats happend over the weekend...its been crazy around here....
Most places are fine (Thank God it missed us!! but not by much!!)
Some roads are still closed and in some places they just now have been able to get in and see whats going on..
So its like we get one house fixed then move on to the next..or try to work here and you cant get to the house...ect..
If I can Ill try and post some pics.

Those storms were pretty bad last weekend. Fortunately we were fine here in Charleston, but a tornado touched down about 20 miles north of here and did a lot of damage.

Where Matt lives in North Carolina, it was much, much worse. They don't usually get tornadoes there, and to get so many of them (particularly when they stayed on the ground for so long) was quite exceptional. One of the storms was on the ground for nearly 80 miles. (!)

There was a Lowe's hardware and home improvement store that got completely destroyed in NC (the roof was partially torn off, and the rest caved in on top of the people inside). Fortunately, no one was killed there, but there have been over 40 deaths associated with this storm system. No shit - it was (and still is) a very big deal.

Glad to hear you made it through OK Matt. I checked with Jeff, and he's OK too, but that Lowes Store that got hammered is roughly in the middle between you two. Looks like you both managed to just barely dodge a bad situation!

Yeah we were very Blessed to have been missed!!
Last I heard there were 24 deaths in NC, and 100millon in damage...
We got got out of a street were every house is ether torn apart,has a tree on it or in it,or is gone all together....

I got some debris in my yard but that's about it. My brothers house was damaged but not destroyed. I actually missed the whole thing and didn't learn about it until my wife told me about it when I got back from Chicago.
