    Default SELEM V logo

Ok, whip out your creative caps and start working on an official SELEM V logo! Lets set a deadline for May 31st for entries. After that, we will have a vote on the entries and the person who submits the winning logo will receive a free shirt. The logo will be embroidered so don't get too fancy!

Here are the previous SELEM logos:

DSLI-Jon posted an updated version of last year's logo in another thread, but the only thing that changed was the year. I was hoping that someone would come up with a new design for 2011, especially since this is the 5th anniversary of SELEM and all. But Jon's design is very nice, and if no one else submits anything better, we can go with that one and be fine.

I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I can't think of any bridges near Newton, so I'm drawing a blank. <-pun, intended pun

I bet somebody will come up with a contender though. We've got some time.

Hah, yeah, I'm starting to think I need glasses, too...

Might have missed the 'integrated / subliminati' "V": http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...5&d=1303518907

..But, point well-taken, that it is virtually a 'clone' of last-year - I think I spent all-of about 20-whole minutes on it... so, happy to take another whack at something 'truly new', but, a) pretty-busy right now, and b) I had figured this would just be a 'seed' for others to jump off-of / get inspired / grind out their own!

Well, at the very-least, I can 'fix' (outline) it for embroidery, if-chosen by 'default'... Lemme know..

Black shirts with very bright colors aren't my style. I have two unused shirts in my closet. Could we go with something a little different?

White shirts would go much better in the North Carolina sun in August...

OK, so, had a quick 'go at it', last nite, whilst doing some other artwerk...

First, taking off on this 'orig' design, here's a slightly modded-further version, for a *white* T (...typically, black-Ts are preferable on stage / theater productions, cause they're less 'distracting' than whities, if a tech has to move-about on/near the stage / show focal-point, in the dark... and besides, Gary...how can ya love classic Goth and not like black t-shirts ) I can easily 'mod' this (or any of the following...) for black T's, if-desired, later...

v3w, with the 'V' integrated nicely:

..which led me to a slightly 'snuggier' design-mod, with a 'Y galvo mir' up-top, in place-of the former 'collimator-lens top':

...which let me to explore this krazy koncept: (...I *think* this would still be 'embroiderable', yes, DZ?...)
