    Default Camera settingsfor video

Hey guys, when you set up a camera to shoot videos of beam shows and whatnot, what is the best way to kill the choppiness from the scanning vs. refreshrate? I know there will be some flicker, bit I am getting choppy patterns. Should I use a really high speed shutter setting or a low speed shutter?

You need a high speed shutter.

    if you're shooting 24fps, try 1/48 second.

watch the monitor and goose the shutter speed from there.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

I think I am 29.97 fps, but I will play around with the different shutter speeds. I believe I can also change it to 24 fps if I need to. Thanks again guys!
