    Default Asking for help: Blanking functions in Spaghetti but not LFI player

    Hi all,

    Would really appreciate it if you could take the time to answer if you've got an idea. I'm able to scan the ILDA test pattern with blanking using Spaghetti 1.7.1.0 (Wow its exciting the first time you achieve this!). However LFI player V1.1.6 does not work. The correction amp uses a comparator to look at the 3rd channel to blank a TTL laser (on/off works great).

    I'm thinking there is something I'm not understanding in the settings in LFI player because Laseroids blanking works also... I'm using the MUCH APPRECIATED EzAudDac driver with the soundcard featured in the DAC tutorial...

    ANY ideas anyone? Man this is so much fun!!

    Thanks,
    Jason

    The ini file is below, does anything look suspect?

    [Sound Card Selection]
    UseCardNumber=1
    BufferLengthMS=150
    SampleRate=48000
    ;choose a standard samplerate that your card can handle 44100, 48000, 96000 etc.

    [Channel Invert]
    ;enter 'yes' to invert the channel output, 'no' otherwise.
    X=no
    Y=yes
    R=no
    G=no
    B=no
    I=no
    [Channel Selection]
    ;Enter the desired output chanel number (1-8 only) of the signals:
    X=1
    Y=2
    R=3
    G=4
    AL=5
    AR=6
    B=7
    I=8

    Not sure if this is any help, but here goes.

    Do Spaghetti and LFI map channels the same with EzDac?

    You could try reassigning the channels to get LFI working. My channel assignments are as follows (for Spaghetti):

    Last I heard, Gary had written an internal sound card DAC interface into spaghetti now so it doesn't use EzAudDac anymore. So he could tell you how to use that. This is unconfirmed, but has happened according to Gary.

    However, I can tell you that if you copy your EzAudDac.ini file from laseroids to the LFI player folder, they should work the same since they both use my EzAudDac.dll

    Smile Thanks guys!

    I must have forgot to update the .ini file in the LFI player directory; copying the file from another application I got configured to LFI player's directory fixed the issue.

    Thanks for taking the time to respond; when you're fooling around/building hardware and using 'new' software it can be tricky to isolate problems.

    And yes I'm thinking of purchasing a new copy of Spaghetti ... Seems like a great program for the novice so thinking it will suit me well!

    Thanks to this Forum and its community there will be some happy lasing tonight at home!!!

    Jason, as far as I know your current Spaghetti license will work with the latest and greatest 2.1.x version of Spag.

    1.7.1.0 was the last free version of Spaghetti, I think. It didn't require a license. A lot has changed since then, for the better.

    Jason, What exactly did you do to get it blanking correctly? I think I'm having the same issue...PM incoming.
