Got an old LaserXpress projector that was built in 1996. The special ISA card that drives the scanner amps appears to be dead, so I've been using a PC sound card and EZauDAC to drive the scanner directly for testing purposes.

Anyone know where I might find a service manual for this unit? I mainly need the adjustment procedure and any info on the ISA card. It has a 486 based PC built in, and runs a software package called LaserMAX.





I managed to figure out where the X and Y input pins were, and how to adjust some of the geometry, but I want to check DC offset at the galvos, and see if I can figure out how the original mechanical blanking system works. Since the unit has been fitted with a DPSS module, the mechanical blanking is no longer used.

Once I find the specs on the laser, I hope to add red and blue for RGB use.

I would contact someone at LaserNet in Miami. They are still in buisness and might have someone on staff still that has experience with this unit.

thats cool i have 3 of these empty and always wonderd what was in them but the ones i have have a tray in the front middle and back

The software on the system is still functional, but I'm not sure which version it is.
