    Great purchase!
Its dimensions are the same of my Kvant 900mW @640.
I locked the driver case using four robust self-threading screws, placed in the holes of the cover case. It is rock locked.
    As for PSU now...
I bought an unique PSU unit for blue and red Kvant units both: TRACO TX150-12S
    http://www.tracopower.com/fileadmin/...sheets/txl.pdf
It get out 12V/12.5A, more than enough for both units and so... I saved a lot of room inside projector.

    Come on Norty...
You spit out photos about your new baby on run... we are waiting for!

ya, it seems kvant does not intend for you to mount the driver

I ended up drilling holes through the heatsink on my driver and mounting it to the case that way... but pretty f'ing stupid design... and the damn thing is HUGE, especially with that cover on it...

The heatsink looks to have the same spacing between fins as a lab CNI; I have been able to use the "standard" LT1000 screw to attach a CNI blue PSU/driver in my case by wedging the scerew in between the heatsink fins. They fit perfect IMO. Might be an option if the fins on this unit are spaced the same.

even if they did I would not mount them this way, just personal preference I guess but I just would not feel ok with that driver hanging on top of optics/lasers if its just screwed into the heatsink fins

I understand, but once you saw how tight the screws fit, your confidence would be raised. It was sturdier than some of my othe PSU/drivers attached with bolts and nuts. The fins had ridges that acted like threads. Had to see it to understand, but I agree, there should be an incorporated way to mount it instead of you having to fabricate one.

    In short - its not!

I had it running about 30mins and then the PSU blew (my choice of PSU, not one supplied by Kvant)

As I have already pre-drilled holes in the case and a reasonably tight fit, I want an identical replacement (I think I just got unlucky with this one) but it has to come from Hong Kong, so I've got about another week or so to wait for it. It's a 10A one that runs both my 637 and my 445.

I ordered a spare too - just in case....

I have an outdoor job the weekend after next where I'm hoping to have this running for, and hopefully my new bigger Laserwave 532 will have arrived then too, so I expect the first pics you'll see of it will be that gig if its running. The site is in a sort of natural bowl, so I can project on the hillside, plus I'll also be able to get right in/above the beams for some vids/pics. It should also mean that the fog and fans should have an easier time of controlling the atmosphere.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.
