    Default New Projector Build

am starting a new projector build, or rebuilding an old projector.

but heres the deal when i had this projector case made many years ago i ordered some 70mm fans off ebay.

gave them to the metal place and they did the fan holes in the side, turns out the fans wernt 70mm but 72mm, so fan guards and dust filters didnt fit. so my only option was to make custom ones using the mill. about 3hours per fan guard and ive still got the mounts to do on the inside to hold the dust filters.

ive also tried a few camera lens as a window but i wasnt happy with the losses (yes me being picky) so decided to mill my own so i could use AR glass from edmund optics.

the two part mount to hold the window has taken about 7 hours (fun fun), but the AR glass is amazing stuff.

the plan is to add a 1watt green once rob has fixed it and 3-4 445 diodes and red when i become rich. got dt40 scanners to go in.

updates will follow as and when

    Thumbs up

Very nice looking case; you don't already have the blue and red on deck waiting for a green?

Nice lay out and well done metal work on the quad module. Each subsequent build you post gets slicker. Its a little disappointing to have to hide it within the case, but knowing its there is satisfying too.
