Looking for parts or kit for "inexpensive" 445nm laser modules....
The mobolaser thread has me thinking about pursuing a project idea I had put on the back burner -
basically, using individual 445nm modules to build a DMX-controlled "beam rail".
With this in mind, I would appreciate any recommendations folks might have for parts to build the modules.
I'm looking at the possibility of building 6 to 8 modules, so keeping costs down is important!
Here are some of the features I'm looking for in the modules / parts:
- Single 445nm diode housing with mounting hardware
- Highest reliable power without requiring TEC cooling
- Lens optics suitable for beams (and 1 or 2 mirror bounces without turning into a spot-light)
- Basic analog modulation driver (RGB precision not required)
- Source for diodes
- MINIMAL additional machining requirments
Thanks in advance for any recommendations!
