Cool The World Priemer of LASER GUY in ACTION!

    Hello All,

For several years now I have been meaning to video tape my educational laser and optics demonstrations and finally got around to doing so. I spoke with many of you on the forum about my demonstrations and have always had great support... especially from Marc (CT Lasers) and DZ!

Last year I received a generous grant to finally purchase my seat in Pangolin and to start writing my own educational modules. In the short time I did manage to generate a couple educational modules that I "perform" to and help the little guys and gals understand more about lasers and light
I will be forwarding this video to them in my report to show them how I am using Pangolin to create memorable educational content..

Many always ask "what I do and how do I do it?".... now you can see first hand!

Believe me... you will get a couple laughs

BTW.... please forgive me for the cheesy opening and canned music

    Please enjoy!

I had to break up the video into three parts since YouTube limits you to 15 minutes.

mate i really can't find the words to thank you for doing this (even if it is not in my country, not in my language etc etc). everyone that spends his time and energy to educate the youth on any safety matter takes big steps to making this world a better place

and i really liked your set-up, the speech, the attitude, the examples. this sort of drive comes only if you really love what you teach and who you teach it to

    WELL DONE!!!

Man, that is really great! It's good you cover safety up front, this is whats needed, laser safety education for all the potential laser pointer owners!!!

Man, I had to laugh when all the kids tried to pronounce "Shhhmear".

What did you learn at school today Johnie? "Shhhmear".

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.

Great show and love the Shmmear bit. Sounds like a Meercat.

We have a long running tv adverts series in the UK about Meercats based on the fictious compare the meerkat.com which people mistakenly go to when looking for car insurance at compare the market.com.

Some really good ads, like the pups of Meerkovo in the top one here and the Documentary one:
