yes, the list of changes is in the lasershowforums LSX section. In this update is a combination of user interface improvements and functionality improvements, based largely on feedback so far.

kl79, sorry I can't locate your email, and don't recall receiving one, please send it again.

I've uploaded the update now, here is a teaser screenshot with an optional dark theme, some of you have said you like dark UIs:

    Hello all !
I have a problem...I received a new LSX dongle, I plug it but LSX said I'm unlicensed.
must I need a license file like with my old LDS dongle or not ? is there something special I need to do ?

    thanks

Hi kl79, thank you for confirming you received the unit, I've sent your file now, you can use that with any computer.

Gabriele, for theming I decided that there should be no performance penalty to have nice looking themes. Right now this means no per-app skinning. Many people like the dark theme to reduce light output from their computer monitors during a show, and to reduce distractions when designing shows. The best way to ensure that no bright windows pop up over LSX is to set Windows to use a dark theme for all applications. This way you are ensured a dark desktop and folder browsing windows, and also a fast user interface experience because there is no per-app skinning overhead. Simply apply a dark theme of your choosing, using with windows built-in theming engine, and LSX will detect this and make appropriate changes on restart. You can then adjust its timeline colors to fit your chosen theme. The theme I'm using in that screencap is:
    http://customize.org/xpthemes/66491
there are many themes out there to choose from, free, for XP, Vista, and Windows 7.

add/delete windows dlls I don't think is a good idea and with your workaround all windows apps will get the same dark interface: Firefox, Word, Photoshop, etc.

For you I can do a list of softwares that have no performance penalty using dark gui:

    Adobe: Premiere, After Effects, Encore...etc.
Autodesk: 3ds Max, Maya, Flame, Flint, Smoke, Inferno, Combustion...etc.
    Pangolin: Beyond

all softwares have customizable dark/white interface without add dlls in windows/system folders.

With Microsoft Dot Net framework you can do everything...

Hi gabriele, windows was designed to allow theming for all applications, it is not a workaround, this is what Microsoft intended. For a dedicated laser computer, it makes sense to have all applications in the dark theme. You asked for a dark theme, and I made it possible within the time available. You do NOT have to add or delete windows .dlls, microsoft merely requires that you use 'signed' themes.
IF you do not wish to use signed themes, the GUI .dll can be patched, but that is entirely your decision about what themes you want to use. My decision was to enable themes that were not microsoft signed.

For many reasons, LSX is entirely independent from the huge .net framework and all of its potential headaches.

I think again, we should focus on the functionality/value of the package, as these skinning details are rather superfluous to making good shows

    downloaded!

could you add Akai APC40 support?

I think it's the best midi controller on the market, I've purchased it.

Your software uses a classic midi note keyboard mapping, it's ok with Novation hardware.

Would be nice to add to LSX auto midi setup so I can assign whatever midi trigger I want.

    Apc40 can't be reprogrammed, I can't assign a midi event to a particular button or knob, it's pre-programmed.

With auto midi learn we could control freely your software.

    Regards

    a couple things
I have a MIDI issue I am hoping someone else has figured out. everytime I press a midi key I get the editor window popup for every time I press the key. If I press any midi key 5 times in a row, I get 5x the edit windows. Usung the "stop further editing" button has no result. Still the same issue. I also cannot save an SFX file to the assigned key within the popup edit window.
Also I cannot load any sfx files directly to the master beam panel.
Loving the software at this point.
