    Default Driver circuit help

    Hi folks...
I need a driver able to power a whole array of 445's from a XJ-A140 projector.
LD's will remain mounted in the array, I'm not sure how they are connected, I think there are four series of six diodes. (pls somebody correct me if I'm wrong)

Only parts I already got are a bunch of FQP13N06-L transistors (same used on flexmod P2).
Any one could help me with schematics? I don't need analog or TTL high frequency modulation, just on-off capability, wich will be controlled via a DMX relay board.

    Thanks!

What PSU voltage will you be running and what current through each diode?

The reason I ask, given these diodes are tough as nails you might get away with an off the shelf high power LED driver (or 2) as found on DealExtreme and many other electronics outlets.

    12V - around 900mA per diode
    Thanks

Yes, that's what I was thinking.

24 x 445nm LD @ 900mA... It would be good to know for sure how the LD are wired now in terms of series/parallel strings because your final voltage and current requirements are determined by this arrangement. It's a lot of energy!

4 Banks of 6 diodes in series... what would be the voltage needed ? Current would be the same on the 6 diodes since they are in series, right?

6 diodes in series will be around 27 volts!

    or

    http://www.satisled.com/constant-cur...tput_p228.html

The last one would power the whole array at 800mA !!!
