    Just found this video on Reddit. Watch until the end and see if your head doesn't explode at the result.

    I'm wondering how difficult it would be to replicate this experiment at home... Corn syrup and food coloring are easy to come by, but the cylinder-crank mechanism might take a little work to put together. Still, it would make one hell of a demonstration at a party!

    I seen have another video like this before! Actually, this experiment was the answer I was looking for for building my own laminar fog screen. After several failed attempts, this provided the answer I was looking for. I am still acquiring the parts and looking for time to start working on it. When I break ground, I will post my construction thread.

    The colours don't actually mix as they are all in their own "space" from the center. Pretty cool though.

    Yeah, that's the key... The three colors are not all at the same distance (radius) from the center. So as the viscous liquid turns, the colors each stay in their own thin sheet (or cylinder) of corn syrup. Each one of those sheets rotates with the inner can, but there is no inter-mixing between the layers. Pity they didn't show a top-view of the setup so you could see this part...

    Still, it's a damn cool demonstration nonetheless!
