Default Man Accused of Pointing Laser at FBI Plane

Big news in the Dallas area. Arrest is first of its kind in north Texas. North Texas is number one with reported laser incidents.

$11K civil fine and up to a year in jail. Isn't this a felony now for those caught doing this?

Aiming at a plane with a sworn officer pilot and tonnes of FLIR, EO night imaging gear, and world class communications gear was just what needed to happen.

He's lucky he's not facing the federal charge.

    Default Misdemeaner???

So much for the FAA saying they were going to make some examples of those next caught.
Maybe he has mental problems as he looks like his deck of cards is a few short.

If what he did is not a felony or a federal offence, considering the last plane he lased that night, then what the hell does someone have to do to get charged with more than a misdemeaner??
