if bonjour is not there then rtpmidi wont run and reports no bonjour service
found that out when it was running ,and i up dated my itunes software
rtpmidi dropped the service and restarted, that and rtp midi shows the ipod connected
with a latency of 121ms
firewall was set to allow rtpmidi but i will turn it off and try
thanks

For everyone..
I am using touchosc for a while now, and i am using it in another way than above.
You dont need bonjour for the application to work:
With midiyoke and PD extended with touchosc, you can do the same:
Big difference is that you can control multple software packages at the same time.
I meam:
Midi channel 1: Livepro,
Midi channel 2: DMX software.
Midi channel 3: DMX led mapper
All those above i control with 1 template of touchosc.
How to do it? :
http://hexler.net/docs/touchosc-setup-other
Look at the midi section and follow the description.
This setup is free for commercial usage.. (except for touchosc, but you buy the lic as soon as you download it from the app store).
On the android market you can also use touchosc. This version of touchosc is free and can also be controlled by midi yoke with puredata. It works exactly the same as the ipad/iphone version.
The download for the android market you can find here.
https://market.android.com/details?i...=search_result
And if you want to create your own interface for touchosc and all the software you
want to control with midi download the free template editor:
http://hexler.net/docs/touchosc-editor
And translate the template to puredata with
http://hexler.net/pure-data-patch-generator
But all of the above information is also availeble on the touchosc website:

Super program!!
And a nice skin you made, topic starter

Looks useful. Can't wait to use it. Paypal sent!
I have just made an update to the LivePro for iPad layout (V1.01)
Changes:
- Removed TTL control
- Added 25 more buttons for launching beam chases (but they could be used for anything else; colour cycles etc...)
Enroute now to all who have purchased - Thanks.
To setup a button to launch beam chases from:
In LivePro -> Environment -> Beam Settings -> Beam Effect Chases Tab
Select a chase from the list; click "learn" and tap a button on the iPad from a suitable bank. Repeat for all required chases.
To tie colour cycles to one of these keys, click on the cue in the workspace, press "learn" under Global note assignment, "Others -> MIDI tab"
and ensure "Do not change current page" is ticked.

Excellent Chris.
Shame it took a while to get everything talking...
I tried the setup on as many different configs as possible before release, and didn't run into any problems like that.

well i thought i got it working well is does kind of but only with the puredata template files that are already made ,
i made a test file in touchosc ,then used the touchosc2pd converter on the hexler website
to make the pd file so puredata can read incoming data and convert it to midi ,when i open it in puredata ,i get a load of errors and puredata crashes
so it looks like its a no go for me
