Once you replace the battery (I think it's a CR2032, but it might be a CR2025... Either way, be careful, because the holder is easy to break), you'll need to reset the board to factory settings. Look in your manual for how to do this. I forget exactly how, but you hold a couple buttons down and the menu changes... Then you turn the scroll wheel all the way to one direction to select the last (or first?) menu item, and then you hit one of the soft keys. Then you confirm it, and poof! Everything is wiped out and it comes back up perfectly. (And then you can start building chases knowing that they'll be saved this time!)
My unit has been fine ever since we fixed it at FLEM 7 (spring 2010).
