I have been testing different methods of dispersing smoke outdoors for a while the last system tried was using.

    1 x Robe 1500FT fog machine.
    2 x 230mm diameter inline fans.
2 x lengths of 300mm or 250mm diameter flexible aircon ducting.

I fixed the inline fans to the front of an open container i used a round green bin on one of the first models. The smoke machine pumps into the large opening the fans drive the smoke down the duct. I run 1 duct down one side of the dance floor and another down the other. Depending on which way the wind is blowing i turn the fans on or off or both on.

I works well up to about 25 meters both sides.

You can even cut holes in the duct to get the smoke out as it travels.

Its crude but very effective and you can use build the ducting into the decor of the party if you like.

I use a 650mw rg project 350mW 635 and a 300mW 532. If you get smoke to where you need it the lower powers will work well.

That's a fantastic result although I'd view it as exceptional rather than the rule with that power!!
