    Question Scientech-380402

Is a Scientech-380402 suitable for our typical measuring needs?
The manual says large aperture (100mm / Minimum Beam Diameter 5cm / Spectral Response 9 -11µm ) so I'm not sure if it will measure ok our thin beams.

Here's a link to the manual

    Thanks!

9-11um wavelength designates it was originally made for CO2 laser wavelengths which means the detector really isn't suitable for visible wavelengths. However I have had good luck a few times converting Scientech meters from UV and IR to visible wavelengths by re-coating the detector head and changing the meters coefficient standard to the counterpart visible detector.

I can do this for you but it unfortunately means you'd have so ship me the head and meter.
