    aah ok

    I have mamba black
And I like the software very very well

I also make show with music..
But the biggest problem is to find music that is perfect to use for a lasershow.
Music that most ppl can listen to

Some music tips I think could do for some shows.

    David bowie - Space oddity
Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Relax
    The B-52's - Rock Lobster
The Bobs - Little Red Riding Hood (graphics show)
    Devo - Secret Agent Man
    Devo - Whip It
Funny Farm- Dr. Demento - They're Coming To Take Me Away (graphics show, comedy)
Outkast - Land of A Million Drums

And of couse anything with Jean Michel Jarre
You know, I have one simple request. And that is to have sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads!

    Default Good Laser Show Music

Some music I've used for laser shows in my living room for friends and family:
(not with the Alphalite yet, but earlier with spining gratings, lissajous patterns, beams, fans, and such...)

    Just a little bit - Gina G
Relax - Frankie Goes to Hollywood
    Ray of Light - Madonna
    Don't Tell Me - Madonna
    JellyHead - Crush
    Vent - Collective Soul
    Everything - Collective Soul
Start the Commotion - Wise Guys
Days Go By - Dirty Vegas
Get Ready For This - 2 Unlimited
Let the Beat Control Your Body - 2 Unlimited
    Rightous - Eric Johnson
    Devil Inside - INXS
Are You Gonna Go My Way - Lenny Kravitz
    Move This - Technotronic
    Situation - Yaz
Busy Child - The Crystal Method
    Black Betty - Ram Jam
All Or Nothing - Milli Vanili
Everybody Wants You - Billy Squier
All That She Wants - Ace of Base

As you can tell from the list above, just about any song with a good beat will work. Songs that have dramatic pauses or sudden beat changes are excellent. (Think "Are You Gonna Go My Way" by Lenny Kravitz, when the guitar solo hangs on a single note for a few seconds, and then the drummer goes friggin' crazy before the guitar picks up the familiar riff again... You know the part I'm talking about... If you time your beams to go crazy at the same time the drummer does, the resulting effect is spellbinding!)

Slower songs work too - but you need to be more creative. Now that I can do graphics, I'll likely be trying some slower songs to see if I can get the same effects.

Darn - I replied to this earlier but the post is gone now!?!

Anyway, I think I prefer BOTH. But seriously, I think beams have more impact that graphics. Still, a mixed show is the ideal in my mind. One or more beam projectors aimed out towards the audience, and another projector aimed 180 degrees out (away from the audience) doing graphics...

I have seen a couple shows where beams and graphics were projected in the same direction (towards the audience) and a scrim was used to give the GFX projector something to draw an image on... That worked pretty well too...
