Default Graphics Show or Beam Shows?

I am just curious, what kind of shows do you do the most (or prefer the most)

(ideally this question is for actual shows, not at home, but I guess either way is fine)

It all depends on what kind of venue it is if its a night club then mostly beams but at a planetarium it would be mostly animations
the shows I find the most impressive and that I like doing best are a combo of beams ,graphics (all types 3d/2d/Lissajous/abstracts ect..) using multiple projectors beam tables and bounce mirrors and a that point i also like to incorporate video and lighting and make it like a full on production

I love beam shows but the money is in graphics and corporate logos as companies only use lasers for rare events and want to see their name in lasers, not beams.

Well, I had to vote I'M A BANANA (thanks for that, Frank, lol.. cuz most of our show-Clients require graphics - but - thanks to the discovery of 'Skeeta'
vs the old 'aerials-stifling' fiberglass screens, we can now deliver the 'best of both worlds'...

ie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osjrkWc1eG8, http://www.myspace.com/dsli/videos (...sorry, not trying to 'hawk-dsli', but the YukTube robots deep-6'd the sound on that one ) ..where we'll specifically-put geometrics in the show (cones, fans, etc) that would be *yawn..* on a wall / FP, but RP, thru skeeta, they form nice aerials.... and if the laser is powerful-enough / room-atmosphere is good, etc, seeing the 'shapes' on the scrim are not that 'distracting', cuz the focus becomes on the room-filling sweeps, sines, cones, fans, etc...

So, I guess my short-answer is: Both, where-possible.

If I had to make a choice it would be a beam show because they are typically more impressive. A good graphics show MIGHT hold my attention longer.

Now, a show that combines laser beams, laser graphics, and projected video will get me excited.

I'll go for beamshow. I like the atmospheric effects and the live control on parties.

I had to go with banana. I probably like graphic shows just a little more than beam but, they're easy to tire of unless they're good shows. They can be set up fast and shown to people without fog and can give people an idea of what in the hell you are talking about when you talk about high powered lasers. Beam shows are always amazing and impressive but, hard to really demonstrate to people because of the set up time. I think I'd prefer to PUT ON beam shows for people because of the "wow" factor but, for my own personal enjoyment, I like checking out new graphics shows.
