Thanks friends for all your precious suggestions.
I wrote to Steve that I want to create analog feel laser drawings in architectural spaces and not videos. Laser light reproduce tridimensional (in fog) and deep colors that none dlp projector can generate. In fact Kodak is developing a new laser projector for cinemas, it will be 3d stereo too.
I'm interested in 3d stereoscopy. I have all the necessary 3d panels, glasses (and softwares) to create stereo virtual renderings and walkthroughs for my clients. I donno if laser projector technology now can draw two single l+r polarized drawings....but I think this is the future of projection. Dlp projectors use lamps, probably the new scanners made by Texas Instruments will be adapted for the light of lasers.
By the way, I understood that the only way to reproduce 16 millions of color (about) is to purchase a Kvant laser or a high end 30kg Laserworld Pure model.
Don't exist a portable analog full color laser in this world under 3000 euros? I haven't the necessary time to built myself a laser unit, no technical infos, no schemes, no metering instruments to check all the assembly and light alignments.

    Waiting more infos from you...

    Best regards
    Gabriele

You want to create 3D stereoscopic content?
I ve been doing that in the past.
Why did you think it requires a laser projector for it to be done?
just get shutter glasses and a dlp projector *which work at 120fps* giving 60fps for each eye.
of a true 120fps LCD screen.
Else you can get a HMD *head mounted display*
With 2 identical high power DLP projectors you can create a 3D projector *you will need to equip them with 1 vertical and 1 horizontal polorised piece.
    Also those glasses need that.
Then you need a 3D player, I have one with 3D movies.

I can tell you how to produce 3D movies [/B]too.
    Is this what you want?

Forget Laserworld, that would be my advice. I've seen too many reported problems with their units on here to make a recommendation to anyone.

If Kvant are too expensive then you could try getting a quote from Stanwax in the UK for a custom build.

Problem is you're going to want good scanners and they cost. Cheapest option is going to be something built around Dt40's I would have though.

    I use 3ds Max 2010-2012 and Vray...but I model geometries with Rhinoceros
I do stereoscopic renderings/animations using the stereoscopic Vray 2.0 camera inside Max...is simple. For 3d presentations I use Samsung 3d led tvs.

I'm deciding what is the best software for me to drive an rgb laser, probably Beyond Essentials...but I think that has not 3d capabilities
My problem is not the software but the hardware, I need a fast full color laser and having a low budget is a mission impossible.
When I decide to discover a new field at the same time there are a lot of innovations, everything change, is a coincidence...Beyond software is a sign.
Tomorrow we will project 3d stereoscopic videos or vectors using lasers. Technology of scanning is based only on the "scanner". A matrix of fast scanner is the answer.
    DLP probably is the answer....

AH Vray, I have it too. it's ok but I personally prefer Mental ray hehehe
BEYOND 3D has 3D capabilities. but you will need BEYOND ultimate for that.
What you can do is purchase an LD2000 intro system with the LC-max plugin *laser plugin for 3ds max*
DLP and scanners are a completely different thing.

A search on google shows no trace of that model only a similar one with conventional technology and 2500 lumens. So maybe it was dropped from production.

Casio make a DLP projector with a Blue Laser that has 3000 lumens output the A150.

However, bear in mind the Christie's projectors I showed in the 1st video were 20,000 lumens each.

Thats a huge difference in brightness especially considering they used 7 projectors totalling 140,000 lumens.

16 million is going to be difficult as mentioned but 3D graphics with a laser is possible.
Do be aware that the complexity you can display on a laser system is limited.
Are you aware of these trade-offs?
Photorealistic renders well not get you too far with 3D graphics .. they can help in a certain fashion.
3D laser graphics are more cartoonish and rely on similar algorithms als cellshading and such.
As you know the 3D graphics get converted to 2D things that give an impression of 3D.
    If you still are interested:

Edit: I reread and see you use max, me too.
I just want to quote this and bask in its glory
