Default Viasho 5W 532nm Laser Head

Here are some pictures of the laser head. (Pics are not mine, I don't post pictures to PL anymore.)

Very happy with the design, size and performance. Optics are sealed.
Only downside is the noise.. it runs cool but the fans sound like a vacuum cleaner LOL! (doubt you will hear it in any of my gigs anyway.)

Unit can be run in TTL-, TTL+ or analog, just flip a switch!

Hope it will have a long life!

On the plus side the seller is vey responsive, all went very nicely.

This laser head is in a one color projector right now, but will be combined with my 4W 445 module + a 8 diode red module been built by our friend 300Evil! 10W+ RGB Hell yeah!!

    Cheers!

    Sorry to hear about that.
Hope I'm not in the same boat... testing so far is looking good...
I did some research before buying but did not find a review in the forum, except for 1w heads... did you post anything?

A beast? Why yes but... I'm scratching my head at the powers of your combination. 10watts... 5 of it green, 4 of it blue and, somwehere north of 1 watt of red? That doesn't come close to any ratios I've seen or heard about mixing colors for balance. Am I missing something?

ya that watt of red is going to be totally invisible

    I have a 6W projector with 3.2W of red (1.2W 642, 2W 650) and I think my red is barely visible

Mostly beam shows here.. not worried about color balance. If i ever need it for graphics I can always lower the output of the other colors to match the red.
I don't post pictures anymore to avoid any safety-related drama.

I have 250mw of red and it is visible. Your DAC might be broken.

If you've nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear.

Besides, you can't tell from video anyway and people asking questions is good because to casual readers coming here from google it gives them information on the type of concerns that they need to be aware of. Just because someone questions some aspect of safety, doesn't mean you've done anything wrong.

I'm sure Hugo's had plenty of such questions about his amazing Awakenings shows but you don't see Awakenings dodging the bullets by trying to hide their displays.
