Something wrong with my scanner size!

If it is running fine in DMX mode then surely it´s not a hardware problem with your scanners. Could be:
DAC Problem
Software configuration (try another soft or resetting all prefs)
Cable problem (ILDA cable/connection from ILDA to DMX BOARD)

That's my take on this. If the problem was with the scanners or their internal wiring then full auto would show the same failures. To me the fact that full auto works fine suggests something in the software / ILDA wiring / ILDA Plug / Socket / DAC chain.

If full auto works then you have a ground problem it is single ended do you have one scan amp or two I took the dmx board out and rewired jeff

Yep. In the end, it was the ILDA cable. There was a whole tub of them at work.

Sorry for the very late reply, I moved house and had no internet for a while.

Happened to me on a gig once... Except I couldn't get to the ILDA cable that was at fault, so I just had squashed projectors for a while. Took the cable down, checked it out, sure enough the X+ pin was broken clean off.

Learnt to always check ILDA pins on male ends before any gig. :P
