by the way, the Spanish government has cracked down on some of Ibiza's laser setups. I just had a talk with someone in Ibiza about it. Its not that there are laws, just the overall safety of some of the setups that existed was questioned which is how the US government should go about it but doesnt

Space still has all of its lasers and I thought they looked great in person when i was there last week.

First 20 seconds or so. You think they could afford a bigger mirror or two?
    Otherwise awe inspiring.

are you located here in Arizona, if so what city? I am in Phoenix.
Nope I'm way up north. I just watch lots of Youtube videos and thought I would share what I find from time to time. Found this one this morning from Chicago early last month... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pr8h6...eature=related

I loved every bit of it, going to upload some of the videos I took from the crowd. I love when I have a venue I can install a single laser in the back, hadn't had someone with the budget for it lately

Yeah there's something very special about being audience scanned.

I absolutely hate going to a club where the beams are overhead.

Bad music is pet hate no: 1, No lasers is pet hate no: 2, overhead is pet hate no: 3.

I gotta say, I hope they have that masked, I'd be sh*t scared to be in that DJ booth with thos statics. Nice array of mirrors though, looks like some of those clamps were holding rotating gratings from the early shots.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

There are clear signs typical of saturation so I'm going to say that more than likely the guy turned things up in his video editing programme before submitting the video to Youtube. That said, the brightness on the target beams is scary and I agree with you entirely Norty, I'd be very nervous about catching a scan.

I still think the most potentially dangerous thing here are the hand held beams. There's a moment when it looks as though he nearly accidentally activates the beams when right down in the crown, just the slightest flash. Also, looking at the target beams width from the projector, even though its static, it would have to be scanned from that distance as its tight in other overhead shots. Anything from pointers in the guys gloves is truly static even if diverged. I'm not saying they were unsafe as clearly they have been diverged, but without measurements, it would make me very nervous given the proximity of the crowd to gloves in some places.

One possible explanation as to why so much of the centre laser projector missed the mirrors given that the beam appears to have been scanned out thicker in the targeting than it actually is in other shots, could be that it was done deliberately just in case the reflected beam was bounced into the crowd through a slipped bounce mirror. That would appear consistent with a very powerful centre projector.
