Yes, Thats a Vanadate crystal...
Well, I can say I've never seen one mounted quite like that..
Itsa shame they only mounted on 2 sides, But it could be to your advantage...
Easy removal and mounting of a new one...
I will suggest finding an old CNI pointer as the Nd:YVO4 in them
were seperate too..altho , I think nowadays those are hard to find..
I will look around my stuff and see what I have here this weekend.
If one of those do work for you,
You might consider a different mount for the Nd:YVO4 one that mounts all four sides..or..
a 50um (the tiniest drillbit you have to just pierce thru) hole in a piece of 1/16" copper plate on the face towards the diode
will help tremdously..see sams faq on that.
as that one there is not very stable...
It really needs to be heatsinked on all sides..
Or get it to work and sell it off..Dunno.
Did your old diode have a GRIN lens over the facet?
From the looks of things, It looks like it was almost flush with the Vanadate crystal.
