Seems to describe "onomatapaically" a temporary disturbance from a source external to a resonator which somehow affects the internal resonance for a possibly limited finite period (read ...clouting someone with a guitar or similar) . Click image for larger version.

Mathswise, the resonation would have a total (sigma) sum of zero but only after the entire event has expired (maybe have to substitute the guitar for a piano to ensure expiry...LOL).

Nuff bollocks for now! Click image for larger version.

Ok, beam-pix, as promised. I was gonna blow smoke in the air, but I wanted to keep my lenses clean, so photos with just the air particulates .. :] 200+ mW of 637 hehehe ... I'm gonna quadruple it. soon. .
(.. and yes, I know .. I gotta clean up my "lab" .. ) .. but that would take away laser-time.

The waste-beam that you see on the bottom photo (far-right) was necessary in order to acheive a decent beam profile. I'm losing about 35mW of precious red ..

Where I can get OpNext 637nm diodes?
Other than from OpNext (the single mode ones).
    Thanks and cheers,
    Ed

Avnet express carries them for 125 usd (for the 6338mg) and I think $170 something for the 63133dg (lower power single mode).

Rumor has it there will be a set of scanners out with bigger mirrors; could be out within a year.
