    Default Aixis potentiometer disabled HELP

Hello to all, this is my first posting. I am looking to be a dedicated member on this forum. My goal is to build a rgb 40k scanner system for both beam and projection shows. My first step taken to reach this goal has been to buy a 450 laser module and diode from aixis. I incorporated this diode into an old rgy 15k scanner system and worked fine with modulation. My problem started when i noticed (or thought) the beam not being too much brighter than what the two original diodes where. On the ebay specifications it noted that you could easily turn up the diode power by turning two blue square potentiometers, i did this and noticed nothing different. I know now this is a very bad move to blindly increase or decrease these settings. I tried turning them to their original positions, today i noticed that there is a 3rd smaller potentiometer with a Phillips head that you can barely see in the picture. I would just like to know how to set the ones i already moved back to their correct positions to keep this diode from blowing ( i would like it to be a bit more visible IF possible). I do have a digital multi meter but em just getting the hang of it as i'm teaching myself how to use it, i did read around and says to use diodes in parallel with a 1ohm recistor? i'm having difficulty understanding this, as i mentioned i'm just learning. Could someone please help me? Thank you in advance for the help.

might want to post a picture of your driver. The 3 pots usually control: gain, balance and offset. But need to know which does which. Also, for this particualr driver, one of the pots might be for TEC control.

I have one of those modules and to be honest, had a fairly blind fiddle with them (no harm done, it's now in a projector doing 820mW) To be honest, I'm not sure what each of the two pots that adjust the power were doing, but by tweaking both up up one at a time, the power rose on the meter. It is possible one is the TEC, as if I leave the diode in idle for too long (powered, non-lasing) the diode goes out of focus (this quickly corrects with a few seconds lasing, and stays good). The third pot by the modulation input seems to allow you to adjust the maximum output from the modulation, I have found this useful to get a nicer dimming curve.

Not a very scientific approach I know, but my experience of the module, and I'm more than happy with it!
