Is something like this no good?

    http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/BNACF18.html

According to my calculations with an on-line converter in high speed that's 4,400 Cubic Feet Per Minute in high Speed mode for 150W.

That's the same stated air flow as for a carpet blower.

The axial fans move allot of air but they dont push it far enough.

You must look like it if you have waterflow of 100l/m trough a 100mm pipe, or a similar waterflow trough a 1mm pipe. the water trough the 100mm pipe will not even go 10cm, while the water out of the 1mm will shoot many meters like a water gun.

similar with the axial fan you are reffering to, this will move the smoke max 10 meter, while the 1KW radial fan will move the smoke over many more meters.

I need the meters So it will be a radial fan for me.
The gig I have will be over water. And you know that on and around water there will be always more wind.

Well it is half september then and with a bit of luck it's warm over the day and cools it off fast to the night so the water is warm and the air cool that will bring some fog up from the water that will help me a bit
