I think they're OK. It was a pretty mild quake, after all. But yeah, it was uncommon for that area to experience any tremors.

Carefully put it in a foam lined case, wrap it with 20 metres of bubblewrap, put it in a large double walled heavy-duty cardboard box, wrap that with stretchwrap for moisture resistance, then gently place it in a deep hole.

Then drop a huge boulder on it !
