A good 4 channel driver cost less than 100 euro, why even bother isolating, or risking blowing diodes when running in parralel.

This adventure is now costing you more money.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

or you should just know basic electronics ~
Well john, considering the drawing you made for me yesterday explaining series versus parallel diode circuits I'd say that I needed more than basic electronics... I also need an interpreter and this thread as been great for that!

i'm a napkin kind of guy lol just remember who is advising on your builds, wouldn't want to make LED's would ya it was really an animation though, as remember I even "X" out the diodes as they would die if they pulled extra current.

I think any driver I use would require me to set the desired current, which is where I failed as far as the driver is concerned. IS there such a 4 channel driver that doesnt mind if all the case pins are common?

If all the cathodes are connected then you need a high side driver.
You can find many like the PicoDrive LBRD or drivers based on Andy's design

ID:	26775OK so 4 parallel sets of 4x 1N4007 IN series would make a proper test load?

If you need a highside driver with 4 channels then Badpip is the one to talk to.

Need a dual? Patience guys he is working on it. Need a tec driver? Proto type is working fine. Order some quad board so that he
gets some cash to pay for the manufacturiing of the dual version

Just want someone to check this over for me before i connect to my lasers and blow more diodes. Reading 1v across 1 ohm resister = 1W correct? 250mW per diode correct?Click image for larger version.
