what is the recommended PSU rating for driving them?

    1) the P.S. is no wheres near powerful enough current wise to supply constant clean, power to scanning. Even at relatively lower scan angles and not even working the scanners hard. The P.S. are only i think 1-1.5A. NOT enough! What you see (the projections going crazy) is most likely the P.S. freaking out.

    2) The amps get VERY hot, VERY quick. Make sure you heat sink them very well and if possible, fan cool them also.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

i dont think there is an actual "recommended" rating. but i would say at least double.

for a while i was using (iirc) 5A supplies and didnt have a single issue. Or i would use 2 supplies @ about 2-3A ea. and no issues either.

You can lower the gain on the amps a little also. So that they arent as power hungry.

i've still got a little DIN rail space left in my system. i've been thinking about dropping a couple 24v psus on it.
