They both do support MIDI. Was using Beyond last night and playing with the MIDI interface.

Ah, yes. Beyond is rather lacking functionality in that area at the moment. However, give it a chance as i'm sure that this will be expanded in the not too distant future. I believe there are other more pressing issues to deal with first
