Any idea how far out reservations would have to be locked in to reserve the rooms & venue?
I spoke with the owner at the theater, they own the bar next to it also. He doesn't handle the bookings didn't even know the price it rents for lol

the girl that manages it i'll call on monday to get dates available then i'll probably just put down a deposit so we will be set there.

The hotel inn is trickier as to book the whole place they need a 50% deposit ouch! I'll cross the inn availability with the theater and see what weekends both are free. I'll also get info on how far out they usually are booked. It is a nice little town and the city of grand rapids is very close to see any attractions there.

I live about 35 minutes away and would be open to having poeple crash at my place, but that wouldn't be possible if I stayed overnight with the equipment at the venue. Obviously the Inn is the way to go but not sure how many people can commit to dropping the needed cash. I can't absorb a loss on lodging esp at tax time next year

The inn doesn;t have a website, but i'll scan in and post the brochure later today.

The venue could also do a small buffet of food, but I am thinking with the smaller number of people and the amount of restaurants in walking distance it might be easier to just get food.

Well luckily I have bought several planetariums library's when they closed or moved on from lasers. Several of these tapes were flooded and soaked in a hurricane, baking prepping and was able to restore and get good reads from them. So here is some of the stuff I own; I don't think content will be a problem. As I have said priority will be given to those bringing shows

My search constantly continues, just turned up a great lead thanks to a guy I met here. Maybe getting several shows in a pre-ilda format 5 head system that was Mono, XY XY RGB 3 tapes from overseas. This is very cool, good thing I have 8 ADAT machines and an HD24.

My wallet states my content library has still cost me $$$. A couple good deals but I think most places still understand the value of the content.

The most fun is the research into who the original artist were finding out a little bit out those listed on the tapes. There are some very interesting people and stories that luckily some of the long timers have filled me in on.

Also the nicest show will be the Laserium I would like to run this at least twice. I am working on a custom 3rd tape right now that will control my beam table and with some logic interface hopefully a lumia rig (if it is built in time). This will compliment the LaserAmazement tape very well, it is almost 100% show one of the few without blackholes for all the laserium special effects.
