OK, I'm not near the east coast, but here's some mundane cyclone/hurricane/typhoon trivia:

Irene missed Charleston. Just another day at the office for us. (Though most of the schools closed anyway. As to why, I have no idea.)
I know that DJMatt got a ton of rain out of the storm, and I think Zach (Laserman121) is out of power still, but beyond that I haven't heard much.
As hurricanes go, this one was pretty mild. (Good warm-up though, as it looks like there will be a few more we'll need to watch in the next few weeks. Gonna be an active season this year...)

I'm hearing stories of how this storm caused such unusual flooding along such a large area, and meanwhile Texas and Oklahoma are dried
and burned to a crisp... It looks to me like the extreme is now the new normal...

Well, you know what they say: If you don't like the weather, stick around. It's bound to change!
Yeah, the floods in the north east were pretty bad.

yea that bitch left about a foot of water in the TAI offices
and im still cleaning it
I got a bunch of tree limbs and stuff in my yard but nothing major. The next 2 days we had thunder and hail storms that put the Irene storm to shame, though.
