Default Desktop Lamb Broken - Help

*** fail on my part - lamb on the brain

my bloody desktop lamp has broken.

replaced the blub and it worked for a few hours then it died. turned it off at mains turned it back on the lamp flashed then went off.

checked cable for breaks and all seems ok, but im not getting a - connection from mains plug to lamp.

think its probably this, is there a way to check if this works or not?

or where can i get a replacement?

it might not fit but that lamp is looking old so to find an exact replacement wont work.

Well you could do what i did just run a wire with a plug threw it and get a light bulb socket from the shack and throw in a light bulb or led light. it works. or just gut an ugly looking lamp in the house and use its wire and bulb socket

well yeah keep the arm and stuff but just use a regular bulb instead of a florescent tube.
