Depending on where people fly in to, I will be heading down from Dallas. I have room for platinum and swamidog and at most two more.

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.
I'll put it on my calendar. Depends on projects/applications & when I can make the drive as I'm all over the region. Bring a friend, it said? Do apprentices count?
I will def be there.
LaserWizard after selem I became more interested in lasergraph dsp after seeing some amazing shows done with it.
It looks rather old and i'm curious if you have protize max and could give your opinion about it compared to lc-max.
Is it the same quality wise? or has it got some features like. woaaa
Tim-- does Urban 15 have WiFi by any chance??
What are them dates of your Xmas show- I would like to see it from backstage and help if I can. len
Are the coordinators for this close to setting a date? Is there some info on the exact location (address, etc)? I do not know these places.
Hello-- the Venue 'URBAN 15' can be seen and its location and the other cool things that they do there by doing a search. Tim does a Xmas laser show there in Dec.
I paid a visit yesterday with ILDA member Dr Chuck (owner of AixiZ) he knows Tim well and promisies to attend this LEM. He has been very kind to us at SELEM by donating~ $1000 in doorprizes to give away at SELEM IV and V
I have no doubts he will do this again for TEXLEM. So please return the favor by giving AixiZ your business---it has been slow since the recession.
He has allowed me to offer thier analog 447nm twin fan TEC labby at 199$ with free shipping to CONUS-PM me if you need one-it comes w/ one yr warranty and runs from 115vac mains. I tested one that was very stable for 40 min.IIRC at 500mWs. I will do a graph on all of these before shipping them to you.
TEXLEM is looking to be like it will be one not to be missed.
For those of us living on a tight budget two features that will help a lot are the lodging and food.
There is room at the venue for us to stay(so no cost for lodging) and I hope to serve home cooked meals at a much lower cost than eating out(you pay what you can afford--tip jar) I plan to take no funding for the food from TEXLEM.
Greg(displaser) is bring some of his great Chili --cant wait to try that!!
By staying and eating at URBAN 15 we will also have more time to do the shows.
Any offers to help me with the cooking and KP will be greatly appreciated.
Much more on this later in the year.
PM me if I can help.
LEN
Sounds great! I can't wait!
I will certainly take me new lasershow (which is almost finished for the ilpendam lem in the netherlands)
Which is currently about 8000 custom laser frames.
The beamshow is done long before the Texlem (with the 2 projector graphics show (which is nearly finished)).
Even the beamshow is all custom frames, nothing re-used
Looking forward to see all of you guys!
Best regards,
Pieter
Sorry to ask a load of noob questions but never been to a laser meet -so I have no idea what the activities are. Other than some pictures of scans and the like in the gallery (some looked like 3D glasses would be worthwhile) I didn't find too much about the general structure of LEMs Is there a topic on this or can some of the old timers lend a clue? The possibility of a free place to crash looks pretty good, is that a general invite? I would not mind putting in for some food cost. Also, what is the cost to attend if any?
Opcom,
Details are still in the works. I would expect that attendance will be that of a smaller group, but that this event will be like other LEM's - sign a waiver, pay a fee to offset costs (meal & t-shirt, etc.). While Urban 15 has been kind enough to allow us to use their facility, I would suggest that we provide a donation for the use of same (along with power, water, housing, etc,), after all they are a non-profit organization.
I would like Tim to provide his thoughts on this as well, as he was instrumental in finding this location and is friends with the kind folks that are Urban 15.
Greg
